Discovering clay as a means of expression was like a door opening onto my path of life. For nearly 30 years, I have been seeking harmony with this clay. It reflects my life, my states of mind. While I mainly create decorative pieces, in recent years, I have turned to sculpture. Characters from faraway lands appear, drawing me into worlds whose peace and silence I love. All this is magic because I can share it with all those who are moved by my work. I was born on October 5, 1953 and first felt cool clay in my hands in 1979. I set up my studio in Oingt, a pretty village in the Beaujolais region in 1985. My work is mainly produced on flat sheets. My decorative pieces are partly enamelled (I make my own enamels from vine ash), using oxides, juices from the local earth and gold baked at 750°C. For the sculptures, I also use gold and silver leaf.
