SAFIA works on the traces and identity of each of us.
Some of her characters come with the legend of the "flat men”: somewhere in the Mediterranean region, lived the "flat men”. Survivors of distant eras, they have witnessed all invasions. Using magical tattoo ink, they have recorded History on their bodies.
Each of them has his own chapter. All different, but all equal: together they form a living book.
Each of SAFIA’s sculptures evokes a chapter of our history. >
