TERRE EN FEU, is, above all, an artist - Claire Vincent - who plays with different sandstone clay, all fired at 1,280°C. She uses different techniques depending on the desired effects. She crackles the clay, adds patterns with different materials (cloth, plastic, mesh, materials found in outside, fibres...). She inlays different clays into one another, sometimes mixing sandstone and porcelain (like on black plate), she adds slips...she is always trying and testing new ideas. She is always thrilled to find new materials. |
