Julia Fenu is a graphic artist and illustrator from the decorative arts school in Strasbourg.
She works for a children’s publisher and on artistic projects for schools. This designer is a passionate hiker, always on the lookout for the "treasures” offered by nature.
Her work pays homage to the poetry of shape and texture of all the little plants that she gathers with care.
Her vision transforms the cap of an acorn into an incredible fairy hat; the calyx
of the physalis becomes the skirt of a masked dancer.
Her hands create sly, fun creatures that wake up our childhood souls.
"When I was little, I loved to fly samaras, the little winged seeds that fall from maple trees. I used to make animals from chestnuts and necklaces scented with eucalyptus flowers.”
Julia Fenu’s work takes us back to the nature of our childhood. A breath of humour, mood…
between strength and fragility... and we are transported far, far away.
