Plastic artist, glassworker, jeweller... Agathe Saint-Girons puts all her energy into the materials that inspire her, giving shape to the most incredible creations. Her particular sensitivity to words and puns, feelings and the biological and psychological facets of the human being drive her to create jewellery that is moving, droll and intriguing. Her primary concern, far from being decorative, is the personal expression of sensation and sentiment. The techniques she applies to precious metals and glass are traditional, sometimes even ancestral, marked here and there by the experimental eruptions that punctuate the lives of all artists. Just what it takes to belong to the present and prepare for the future. Her preferred work materials are gold and silver, but she also uses coral, wood and precious stones to provide strong highlights. And of course glass, omnipresent with its coloured, limpid or opaque sculptures, ever rich and deep.
