When I’m painting, it is as if I am floating. Time and the environment cease to exist during these privileged moments. Painting takes on an aesthetic purpose: pleasure from contact with pigments, the creaminess of the material, the intense pleasure of creation. Nothing is decided from the start: luck is an exciting ingredient that I am always delighted to use. Then comes the search for balance in shape and colour... a quest for harmony, if you like.
