Philippe Tabuteau: from seriousness to derision.... Philippe Tabuteau picks up, stores and collects objects, pieces of metal and wood. From these salvaged objects, he works the material, using the curves and lines to create shapes that lie somewhere between man and beast.
He uses ugliness and beauty, upturns proportions, using meticulous collage and welding to create his illusions.
He allows his intuition to take over, deciding the shape and feel of his instinctive creations that offer so much emotion. There is also something of a freefall glimpse of a dehumanised world, a biodiversity that is threatened with extinction...
A private world where derision and seriousness come together like a message in a bottle at sea!
