I have always painted my visions and now, my art guides me towards other mysteries: those of my memory.
A question of age perhaps and the people I have met probably. With nature and the universe of course, but more particularly with the people, the works, the feelings, the looks, the words, the silences. And the need to paint and not to write.
My family and friends will recognise themselves and will recognise me; others will find quotes from Ben Nicholson, Chillida, Gris, Kandinsky, Klee, Matisse, Bram Van Velde and many, many more.
>I prefer to suggest, I am no historian. I let my memories take over, not allowing myself to look up sources to allow only the essential to pass. Traces and wrinkles preserved in the privacy of my heart, framed to testify and transmit of course, but more to pay homage to the life that I love and that treats me well.
