After meeting Brother Daniel de Montmollin, a great ceramic artist, Thierry PERRAUD had support for his search that led him from a mineral world towards ceramics, in the widest sense.
These surprising gifts of fire inspire him, determining the shapes devised by his boundless imagination.
His work is now turning towards dense, mineral and magmatic surfaces and lighter shapes that stretch skywards from their base.
These pieces reflect a desire for monoliths, heavy and dense, carrying the marks of injury caused by the power of their extraction.
>Thierry PERRAUD’s work is slowly turning away from the utilitarian towards more sculptural pieces.
