SARAH.O's characters dance. They dance simply because they exist, turning in the slightest breeze. They are wind vanes on metal rods or flat sculptures to be hung on the wall. Sometimes folded but always painted since colour is a fundamental part of each piece. The painting, the collages are as important as the supporting metal. Men, women, children, mythical creations... they often come in pairs. With tenderness, SARAH.O expresses jubilation, a happy encounter, dialogue. She extracts lightness of movement from the hard iron, drawing intense, delicate beings from within the metal. |
