Aymery ROLLAND cannot decide between figuration and abstraction because he loves the beautiful, placid giants portrayed on his canvases as much as the abstract expressions that result from his strong inner tension.
His keen observation of his contemporaries, beyond any anecdote and the quality of his pictorial spaces, makes him one of the great painters of his generation.
Aymery ROLLAND only paints the time that passes, inexorably, covering all that is dear to us with the sediment of oblivion, constantly reminding us of the vanity of our worldly aspirations.
