The "Wouab" Creatures were born in 2002 in a miniscule Parisian workshop, after a long succession of collective adventures that began on the stages of the theatre in the beginning of the 1980s.

Then came the film sets and then the sudden arrival into today's world with its technology, its organization and its economic stakes. During those years, there were also journeys on and under the sea. Naval construction. Preparation for sailboats used in Oceanic races. There again, there was the need for boards of carbon, squares of cloth and lengths of rope that had to be assembled in order to create movement, to produce speed with air and water...

It has always been and will always be about equilibrium, searching for the point of convergence between two stubborn parallels who refuse to meet in the middle, the reuniting of two opposites who sometimes accept to get along with one another:

Today, the artist has "pitched" his workshop in a big town in Brittany, a stone's throw away from the ocean. There is sunshine and wind. There is a powerful river, ancient quays and immense cranes, forests and wine...
