Myriam VOGEL creates hand-made, enamelled jewellery from exclusive materials. Each piece of jewellery is unique.

Her pieces are made with sandstone and fine porcelain which is then covered with coloured enamel. The enamels are made from minerals and oxides and are the fruit of a laborious search since each piece uses a coloured enamel that is unique.

Once the jewel has been moulded and dried, it is then fired at 980°C called "biscuit".
The temperature rises over a ten-hour period.
Myriam VOGEL makes coloured enamel from minerals and oxides following her own recipes which she concocts like a great chef...
The minerals and oxides she uses are mainly:
Silica, kaolin, bone china, dolostone, dough, feldspar, nephylene, talc, zinc, copper, cobalt, iron, manganese.
To apply the coloured enamel, she either dips or uses a paintbrush. The jewels are fired at 1,250°C with the temperature rising over an eight-hour period. Depending on the desired effect, the pendants can be successively fired 3 times at this temperature.
The pendants are mounted on to suede or sequined straps about 45cm in length.
The clasps as well as the adjustable chains contain no nickel.

The coloured enamel will continually surprise you by constantly changing its appearance depending on the light that it captures.
