General terms of sale

Placing an order for a product on sale or supplied free of charge on this site implies full acceptance of these general terms of sale. The buyer declares full knowledge of these conditions prior to placing the order.

"VALEURS TERRITORIALES" reserves the right to modify these general terms of sale at any time.
The order of a work shall only be considered final after acceptance of payment by bank card or, in the case of payment by cheque, after receipt of payment in VALEURS TERRITORIALES's account.

The artist is then informed immediately and receives payment from us. Our carrier will take charge of the work in question.
If, in spite of our diligence, a piece of work proposed for sale is not available, we undertake to inform the client by email as soon as possible; The order will of course be cancelled and the cheque returned or immediate reimbursement paid to the potential buyer.
The prices of the works are published on the site along with any contribution to postal charges and optional insurance.
Any order made via the gallery and delivered outside mainland France may be liable for additional taxes and customs duties imposed by law.
Any such customs duties or taxes are payable by the client and considered to be his sole responsibility.
For any order outside mainland France, the buyer may ask for a quotation before confirming his order.
Transport lead-times obviously depend on the final destination of the delivery. Items are dispatched by an international courier company, known for the quality and reliability of its service.

The buyer must make known any reserves to the carrier company on the day of delivery.
The buyer must check the delivery and write down on the delivery note the precise reserves about which he intends to make a claim. The annotation "subject to unpacking" is not valid or recognised as such. In the event of a problem, we recommend taking photographs immediately after opening.
If the work is damaged, the buyer must refuse the package and note the reserves on the delivery note, specifying the apparent damage.
Claims concerning visible defects must be confirmed in writing by registered post within three working days to the head office of the carrier company. A copy of the letter should also be sent to our offices.

In the event of non-compliance with the above instructions, no claims will be accepted under the terms of article L133-3 of the trade and business code. After this period, the buyer acknowledges that the item delivered is conform to the item defined by the seller with no reserves or restrictions.
In compliance with articles L 120-20 and onwards of the consumer code, the client has a period of 7 days to exercise his right to change his mind without having to give a reason or pay penalties other than the costs of returning the package.
This 7-day "cooling off" period starts on the date of receipt of the item.
The costs of returning the package are payable by the buyer.

The item must be returned in perfect condition in its original packaging, failing which, the item will be returned to the buyer at his own expense. VALEURS TERRITORIALES shall not be held responsible for non-fulfilment of the order if this non-fulfilment is due to an act of God, or because of total or partial strikes affecting postal services or carrier companies or any natural disaster.

VALEURS TERRITORIALES shall use all possible means available to ensure fulfilment of the order in the best possible conditions and as quickly as possible.

French law applies to these terms and conditions as well as to all situations of any kind that may arise between VALEURS TERRITORIALES and the buyer, regardless of the geographic location of the latter.

In the event of litigation and if no amicable agreement can be reached by the parties, the Grenoble courts shall have sole jurisdiction, notwithstanding multiple defence counsels or introduction of third parties, even for emergency or interim procedures or by petition.

VALEURS TERRITORIALES is an SAS (simplified joint capital venture) with a company capital of 37,000 €.
